Any US Layoffs Coming?

Any US Layoffs Coming? They have hired 30+ Serbians on my team. Way more than we have ever had.

Interesting read … Bye bye friends from India.

So many visa workers in US taking US jobs. NCR laid off 100’s of US workers and replaced them with India visa workers.
The India associate’s bought homes, cars, motorcycles, furniture, etc. what happens when they have to quickly vacate.
With company split and move to cloud they are all working themselves out of a job, it’s just a matter of time!

In my territory the OT restriction is still on. I’m not sure if I believe my TM and my TL is playing along to make our lives difficult. Very unhappy and discouraged looking elsewhere.

My team is targeted, 20% reduction right before the holidays, I was terminated in a 4 min call after decades of service, sacked by serbians, the rest of our team will be getting it also, most are in denial and think they are safe, NCR doesn’t value it’s long term employees, zero loyalty or integrity.

CE’s are running OT in my area, the “restriction” lasted a couple days lol.

We are short of people since mid 2022 and I do pay team OT. It is that or losing more people.

My TM told us we are short handed by 6 CEs. OT is not allowed this month and he said it’s company wide restriction. Can anyone else corroborate this claim in your region as far as the OT?

Getting nervous is ok , I been thru it 4 times with ncr. Only reason I stayed is the first three another team requested I join them I accepted the offers. But I was in house and knew everyone. The 4 time I was virtual and didn’t have those personal connections. Plus many were let go in previous layoff. I can’t tell you it’s happening but it has all the markings of it. There is no harm looking to see what’s out there.

Some additional info about my team, there are 20 non-supervisors in the US, 70 non-supervisors in Serbia. They hiring more and more each week. They have hired 34 Serbians between January and starting in February already. They haven’t hired a single person from the US. In the beginning of 2022 we only had 30 US and we’re getting small help from like 10 Serbian. It just makes really nervous and I live in a place that can only do remote.

Let me add two things, being in denial this is happening is normal at this point. Do not fault yourself. Do not try to think you’re over thinking and it not happening. A lot on here have gone thru it. It a normal. It suxs too.
And if all this is correct pls up date this thread so we know what happened in the end.

Yes that what it appears. You probably have 10 on your team. The 30 cost less. But they don’t expect the all 30 to stay. They’re probably still cheaper than you 10. But what’s happening is NCR told you guys about getting some help for and you’re training them. Some of those brought on during this period will drop out and is expected. But you’re essentially training your replacement.
So from here while you’re looking for a replacement job you need to really think about what “Basic” information you need to train them. Tips, tricks, or in-depth information is on shared or kept to minimum as possible. Forget about deleting any detailed stuff on you shared server with the current team mates as it most likely already been copied. The do keep history or archives. You want to walk away or be let go with confidence they will struggle. But I will say they may keep one from the team you’re on now for about a year. I don’t suggest or would want to be that one left either.

I'd say that with the information you provided that is a certainty. NCR will continue its belief that Serbia is the answer. At one time NCR was a premier employer is Serbia but no more. Other companies have moved in and raised the wages significantly. I know personally of individuals who left based of the pay difference alone. All eggs in the Serbia basket...

What I heard is that we're going to see some high priced redundant labor across the pond and in the US go away each quarter.
