I didn't post this, I posted the original post, the "update" post is a fake shill. I have not taken the job. Geesh!
Update!!!
I got the job and I start early February. Im so excited!! It may not seem like much, but its a step up for me and my family. Im excited to earn more money and grow the beauty counter back to being profitable.
While belk isn't the greatist company to work for, cosmetics is by far the best dept to work in. I started out in ladies, then mens and I am now part time in cosmetics and I love it. It is more responsibility but great if you like a challenge.
i was a counter manager at belk for less than seven months and had the whole center core. it was the worst company to work for, i left without nottice after merle norman gave me a job and $4 an hour more money plus overtime if I wanted it, try merle norman or even dillard's was better. and you will make more money there compared to belks.
That is a compliment to even be considered for counter manager in cosmetics. Good job!! Just work hard, stay focused and be a good role model to your team and you will do great. Always do more than is expected and embrace presell and gift time. Congratulations.
ummm....don't take it, they will make your life miserable.
