You can ask employees to keep terms and conditions of employment (salary, bonus etc) confidential....but you can't take action employment action against those individuals if they do discuss the terms of their employment with others. Are you so embarrassed by what you are doing and what you are offering that you are trying to cover it all up? Get over it. We all see what is going on. No one likes it. But we get it. This is where you have been driving your organization for the last several years. Expect the loyalty you have demonstrated! Not sure who wants to buy insurance from a company that moves jobs to India....but I certainly do not. I will also tell every person I can to find a carrier that supports jobs staying in America. So will all your former and even current employees. You can spin it every way possible but I think everyone sees the truth at this point.

Your one year with HCL is to train your $5k a year indian replacement, and to be there in case something goes wrong. I'm actually shocked its a contract, as, a lot of times you just move to the new company and they up and fire you in a few weeks once they have their operations rolling smooth enough.
Allstate did this a few years back with claims ect, and its been a nightmare, however, profitable for the executives...so I guess only a nightmare for employees and customers. So look for more of this here, and now, understand why the company has been so cold and heartless to its workers.
Globalist kickbacks
Iwiz- are you with management or HR?
Dear Original Poster,
That was poignant. Sadly for you I don't care.

What are your money damages as a result of the change? Severance is a benefit and can be changed or even withdrawn at the employers discretion.
I wish all affected employees would band together & lawyer up. Changing the severance policy right before the layoffs? Enough said.
Allstate has successfully outsourced much of their claims and according to their employees all of claims is going…..
if anybody threatens to take action over sharing details of your employment/offer, please keep records of it. I’m pretty sure that would be a blatant violation of labor laws, even asking you not to share is suspect.
What impact will this have on claims employees in 2023? Doesn't seem likely that claims jobs will be outsourced in a similar manner, but who knows.
HCL will just bring in some of their 220,000 employees to take your job. Brilliant advice, just brilliant.
So if we are going to lose our job in a year anyway .... WHY IN THE HE-L go, all we have to do is collectively decline the offer and watch Executive backtrack!!! I understand the fear but damn folks if we just decline the offer Executive would fold.
@qsb. --- About 1200, the Support Center and most of systems (mainframe) all levels
SF will gain even MORE customers as they reduce price pressure and improve self service. Very few people would be willing to pay more based on principle. Lovely thought but not realistic.

They are refusing to provide numbers or comment on the number. What is clear - is that this is the first round. Also clear...the HCL jobs are only a year contract - and when the year is over - all bets are off. Historically - HCL has done this with other companies and as soon as the year is over - the jobs in the US are gone and the workers replaced with employees from India who are willing to work for lower wages. I guess It is a good strategy from a company perspective.....the workers will not be able to sue State Farm after a year because they accepted the job with HCL. They lose their position with HCL - but they were "contract employees" with HCL with only a year agreement. Pretty slick. At least for both companies....not the employees who....end up standing at the end with no job....no pension....no recourse.
How many State Farm employees will be impacted if anyone knows?
