Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

End of year discussions

As your manager explains that you are only getting 90% of your sti and maybe a 2% cost of living increase, if lucky, because AIG really needs to cut expenses and tighten its belt you can reference this article:

Looking at the 2021 comp proxy statement, it seems that the GI and L&R pools were funded differently (GI at 150% and L&R at 107%) and so I’d expect GI and CRBG to be funded differently again. Surprising that L&R didn’t do much better last year given the strong financial market performance, some other companies were at 150-160%)

Would really suck for all of those at CRBG who worked their @sses off on the IPO and continue to do so on the separation from AIG to get less than target. It would even be ridiculous for them to get as little as target.

There’s a tiered bonus structure:

AIG: crumbs
Corebridge: scraps

PZ just gave himself a new rating, "Super Extraordinary Above and Beyond". Now he can justify his 200% sti bonus.

Nice work PZ! Steal from the poor and give to the rich.

Most companies are giving out less bonuses this year. Not many people will get Max Bonus amounts this year. Probably 90 to 95 percent of your bonus this year you will get. I don’t think Corebridge has a different compensation bonus, probably same as AIG Inc.

Will CRBG have a different pool than AIG this time around or will that only come after de-consolidation?

Anyone hear anything about the STI pool funding level? I wasn’t here last year, and was surprised to see that it was only funded at ~100% (peers were funded 120 to 150% last year)

Let’s not forget about the $50M PZ received….

Look at that. In 2022 PZ got a 9% raise. Most minions at AIG got 0% to 2%. Nice to see PZ is keeping up with inflation while everyone else takes a hit. Don't worry though, you got a floating holiday to use whenever you want. That pretty much makes everything okay!
