Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

If your job loss is not the result of a formally announced layoff or reorganization you are FIRED NOT LAID OFF. Please ignore the people here complaining who are fired. We offer decent severance for laid off. Anyone here after merger knows there will be continued reduction to get to target headcount. If you are worried about layoff leave now and find another job. Otherwise please shut up so people who actually do work can focus. Your constant complaining is distracting. STFU or quit.

OP is full of it. You don't have to announce WARN act notices if you give the persons 60 days notice. These folks are not fired, they're laid off. As an example, the people who were noticed on Thursday will actually be on payroll until March 13. They just won't be doing their old job anymore. They're given the ability to use the paid time to find other work (either inside or outside of T-Mobile). They immediately remove your access from the T-Mobile network and anything work related you may have been doing.

Indian leader mentality from the OP. For those that are at TMO, keep your network hot. Build skills. Get a side hustle. Always prepare for the next thing. T-Mobile no longer cares about its employees or customers. If it’s you, best outcome is getting the severance. Starting the new job while still getting paid by TMO.
