Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

The cycle starts over! Retail mass layoffs first, Engineering, call center, corporate are all going to have separate mass layoffs.

And no one is shocked after watching the cycle from last year.

Some engineer headcount (design for instance) is project based as opposed to site ratio - performance engs. do align like that so prob not much diff. for that group

Engineer headcount is based on the sites. Usually every 120 cell site/engineer is how the headcount is kept. I doubt there will be that much of a difference.

some engineering moving to an 'area' model - single reporting structure instead of multiple markets. (the whole state being an area for instance) - it wouldn't be hard to imagine that the head count needed to engineer an area is less than the head count needed to engineer individual markets within that area
