I agree that batteries are going to blow up and that could even be a part of development and validation. However, if it's not contained then there is a major safety issue that needs to be dealt with at that facility.
Lithium batteries explode in the lab sometimes. Just like they do in the car/truck. It's all in the name of progress. Nothing to see here.
