Thread regarding 3M layoffs

3M Go latest video on WYW

Anyone doesn’t agree with the video posted on 3M Go about remote work? With all negatives going around WYW is only positive happened to 3M. However I was baffled by the message from remote employee in the video. Remote work is not to do our own thing when ever we don’t do company work during working hours. It send wrong message to viewers.

The price is right is great. Always has been. Why is it still on if it doesn't have an audience. As for other shows you could learn a thing or two from we boomers: perry mason, mash, hogans heroes, etc.

And don't forget george Buckley made boomers think of Gilligan.

I'm enjoying that rich pension while vacationing in the "free" state of Florida.

Get back to work Pronto on Tuesday. Remember you get mlk day off because of my generation.

Repeatedly referencing “Price is Right” is NOT an effective way to convince young people you’re not old and out of touch 😂 😂 😂

Maybe try 60 Minutes or the Andy Griffith Show next time 😂 😂 😂

Elon calls wfh "pretend" working. Hardly a boomer. If you don't have the social skills to actually work collaboratively, kick rocks.

@1tfo+1kEGT5ol - if you think boomers screwed things up, and to some extent that is true, it can't be fixed by pretending to work home. Just sayin.

I love it. Disagree with WYW or anything else and you are a hateful, miserable boomer. That's all you have???
How about focusing on root cause. Lazy, entitled people stealing from the company through unearned income..sitting on their couches and claiming they are efficient and productive.
Increase maternity leave, add paternity leave, why not ask for mental health days because you are a whiny, entitled sad sack.
Boomers don't know everything and not all millennials are lazy...but based on your post, I'd guess you missed your daily nap...just don't miss Price is Right...and please send updated photos of your dog or cat on Yammer.
I'm sure glad we are all on the same team!

It's not cranky boomers, it's spoiled entitled people who got participation trophies their whole life. Get off your mommies insurance and learn a work ethic.

i work as a production operative, i will never be able to assist of WYW but for whoever gets it,it has its merits, it takes a discplined employee to convert a working day in their own home into a 100% productive day. But paying for heating yourself , the temptation of eating more and online shopping , not to mention distraction from TV, fair play if you can do it,

Just because one disaffected bo-m-er posts the same Work Your Way tirade on every post doesn’t make it a consensus. I’m ignoring hella LinkedIn recruiters because they want me to slip and slide all over icy 94 to go work for the same pay at their company. Pass.

If they can undo Advance 3M decision, they can scrap WYW program.

It sounds like you have some strong opinions about remote work and the challenges it poses. Some people may find it difficult to stay motivated and productive while working from home, while others may thrive in this environment. Ultimately, the effectiveness of remote work can depend on a variety of factors, such as the individual employee's work style, the nature of the job, and the company's management and communication practices. However, it's important to note that remote work is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and it may not be the best option for all employees or companies.

I didn’t watch the video but if it’s like you described it’s probably completely accurate. Working from home isn’t working. Yeah I’m sure you like it sitting at home st-----g your cat and posting it on yammer. That works great for you I’m sure. You attend every meeting you can, do classes type up emails and send them late in the evening to make sure everyone believes you are really giving ‘er. Nobody buys that, there is a reason that some of the top CEO’s are having workers check back in. Funny how all summer and fall the parking lots were all half full then all of a sudden people hear rumblings of layoffs and corporate issues and now we are seeing people we forgot even worked here. Give me a break. Suck it up and get to work.
