The only BU is VMware, we are all core
Naw CSM's are tasked with being sales monkeys now. They lead renewals and once you get rid of all of the specialists they will be the new specialist team.
Lol. Customer Success Managers should focus on helping our customers succeed first. Tons of shelf ware. Very different skill set - sales and customer success. If that is the plan …good luck
Customer Success Manager?
What’s a CSM?
They need to restructure marketing. Jesus, those people are leeches.
Seriously. Mentioned this before here. Worked with a marketing department that was full of ‘seniors’ and VPs and all the stuff they did was internal.

I too believe it will be a push for CSMs to take over SaaS selling. They kept saying they wanted to enable us on “technical information”, yet all “tech” training was ONLY sales related.
True. I believe the downvotes are from readers who know "pure geo" is the end goal.
Sales will be gutted in order for the CSMs to take over for SaaS selling.
Like 10-15 accounts in global are actually carrying the business. Same with enterprise. Focus is shifting to core producers. Leanness.
@wpd+1kDiBb1f Can you please share more details about sales in bu.
Thank you
Supposedly segments like globals and enterprise will go away and it will be purely geo
If you are in sales in a bu who lost their GM recently you should be very worried
is it true? how do you know? any impact to engineering?
