The amount of shortsighted individuals is comical. “Must be they hate Tan!!” LMAO.
Apple has long either had the desire be a maker, or a maker of their own silicon. Why? Because it cuts costs for them long term, and they can get better performance out of it.
Posting this kind of cr-p shows your intelligence level.
This will just make Hulk Tan angry and more motivated to squeeze every drop of milk from the VMware cow.

Broadcom will have seen this coming, their contracts etc are years in advance.
Broadcom also has all the patents so Apple regardless of how good they are will struggle - their existing attempts are already years behind as they struggle with heat and battery life.
At worst they'll sell that business
This big revenue stream for Broadcom will be lost, which will mean it's all the more critical Hock diversifies his business. He'll need this VMware acquisition to go through more than ever and probably have to cut faster and deeper than he initially planned.
If I were a government regulator, I might see this as an additional incentive for Broadcom to be more aggressive with its anti-competitive practices.
Regarding Apple's decision, I wouldn't be surprised if Hock has been squeezing them and providing what they think is a sub-par product for years.
I can imagine crazy Hack in his private bowling alley throwing ba--s around with his shirt off yelling " Í can drink your milkshake'"!!!!!
