Gove wanted him in that position which should indicate that she is not smart enough to run the company as CEO either. She helped make a terrible hire and approved of his awful turnaround plans for his time at BBBY.
I too believe that she has just been working on chapter 7 paperwork since she took over. All the talk about saving the company and working with vendors is just a diversion.
