Finding out that I was laid off hit me hard. I don't think I will get many offers in the coming weeks. I'm already in a panic just thinking about it, although maybe there's no reason to panic? Unfortunately, the job market seems to be actually much worse than I thought earlier. Good luck everyone with your next steps!

When I was laid off last year, I kept getting calls from Rose International (DFW area) for my exact job. I asked her who did the role report to and it was my former boss. They were recruiting for a level 6 starting at $23.00.
One ironic or hypocritical observation in this "simplification" is that they are laying people off, meanwhile I've gotten three different sponsored stores on Instagram from PepsiCoJobs, enticing me to learn more about digital specialist positons they are hiring for. Similarly, there is at least one open position being advertised on LinkedIn in my (former) group doing almost the exact same thing I was doing. It's one level up, but quite a mixed message when they cut several people due to "simplification", only to be trying to hire at the same time.
You shouldn't worry. There is plenty of need out there. I was laid off too. Same day they dropped the axe, I had my (now former) manager telling me about two promotion opportunities outside the company doing the same thing. Next day, I had a former Pep coworker text me to find out about the layoffs and said he could get me a job with promo at his company. Opportunities are plentiful on LinkedIn.
If you goal is to replace your job, use your network and find it. Former Pep employees are a great place to start.
No way, all I ever hear are people bi-----g about how 'no one wants to work' you'd think that itd be an employee's market out there.
What did you do at Pepsi
