Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Fired anyways..why work hard until termination in spring?

For those of you employed until next spring, how do you plan to navigate? I can’t be promoted, going to be replaced anyways, I’m going to stick to what projects I was working on before I was “fired” and push back on anything new…anyone else thought this through? No way I’m going above and beyond if my PepsiCo career is over anyways.

Today was my last day. Of caring that is. After watching the vitriol this rancid organization spews out I am just biding my time. 45 years in the labor force and this is without any doubt the most ruthless and mismanaged company of its size I have ever had the misfortune to associate with. It’s honestly worth a lateral move at same pay to get out of here. Good riddance to this ho-e in the ground!

First, don't assume even if you work through "spring" that you will get a severance. I would utilize the time to find another role at a company WHILE YOU HAVE A JOB NOW. Do not procrastinate. Utilize assistance to polish your resume and online brand. If you find something better, jump at the opportunity. Even with a flawless employment record, Pepsi can and will do what it takes to keep from having to make the large payouts. Please learn from others who truly gave this place their all.. and thought that it mattered...

Your #1 goal right now is to get that severance.
