Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

What is quiet quitting?

Quiet quitting refers to doing the minimum requirements of one’s job and putting in no more time, effort, or enthusiasm than absolutely necessary. As such, it is something of a misnomer, since the worker doesn’t actually leave their position and continues to collect a salary.

I, for one, have done just that. Has anyone else done the same thing since PSR became a thing? Unfortunately real quitting isn’t an option because I’m too old to start over. But if I was in my 20’s again, I definitely would.

Quiet quitting? Is this really the society we live in now? What ever happened to just plain quitting? Seriously what's up with BS softie language like the first person said? How about just using a language that speaks the truth and gets to the point. Quit or don't quit. It's that simple!

I quietly took a dump in the bathroom floor at west Colton . I’m a manager and I wanted the troops know I support them.

To me quiet quitting is saying nothing and just leaving! Why do anymore work if you've already given up? I don't see how continuing to do work for a company can be considered quitting. I was never into the softer language that helps people deal with reality. When I made the decision to quit, I did it! I didn't decide to quit, then go home and cry about it till I came back the next day to think about some more.
