Seems like a decimation, most teams are getting around a 10% headcount reduction.
@af I haven't seen one thing AI has done at Lumen yet that actually works or is even close to taking someone's job. Its good for rewriting an email or helping with a slide but that's about it.
Yep, they got me today. I only heard of customer success but there was a dozen more I knew personally, not performance related

Two of my co-workers were let go over in infosec... Stings to see Lumen do this right before the holiday season for a second time...
I got hit with the layoff. Got a call this morning. The kicker of it is that I am out on medical leave! I was Planning a Return to work on November 3rd.
I Had a lot of questions but was not giving any answers. It's the LUMEN way, let's lay people off right before the friggin' holidays!!!!
Define massive
AI taking people’s jobs and not allowing people to move up. Typical Lumen behavior. It was about 25 people on their business development side. They should have got out when they had the chance. This was inevitable knowing how this company operates.

Massive? I'm not sure about that because I haven't heard numbers yet - but I know people who have been impacted.
