By McKinsey? This is an ax, not a scalpel.
Just keep on keeping on. No extra effort and hard to plan for things without knowing how teams and projects will be impacted. There will probably be another round in Q2 2026 and possibly more following that.

I am not making any long or medium term commitments to anything. I don't know what Nov 17th looks like or whether my team will be so decimated that I won't have the time or capacity to do anything but keep the ship afloat.
How can you plan beyond November?

Agreed. The budget cuts are driving lots of activity, so actually busier than I have been in a few months.
I would quietly laugh if the company lets me go. They’ll spend 6 months picking up the pieces of my job responsibilities.
Maybe all that stuff I do isn’t required in the future, but it is right now. I don’t do things for fun around here , I do them bcz they need to get done
I still have a job to do... so doing that job and hoping for the best.
If you're able to sit on your a-s and do nothing maybe it won't come as a surprise if your job is deemed unnecessary?
