Layers of people feeding poor advice up the chain. ELT of course needs to rely on recommendations of the team, but many are from defeated competitors who came to Cisco. John Chambers, what an outstanding leader over the noise. Soni, Prem, Mario, Luca. Cisco needs you now more than ever over these mindless drones!!!

Exactly this. He was a lucky CEO at a time when my pet rabbit could have done as good a job. As for the current ELT, there are planks of wood with greater knowledge of technology than them. This is why Cisco is stuck in the commodity world of IP packet shift and the expanding worlds of security and cloud have run away from them.
