Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Keep learning, even when it feels pointless

I’ve seen plenty of people give up on training because they think it won’t change anything. But every course and new skill has opened doors I never expected. Staying sharp keeps you ready when better roles come around, even if it takes a while. I know most of us are worried about layoffs and don't see a point, but this can only help in the long run.

Why. Offices do not make the world go round. Getting dressed up like you're going to a wedding to send some emails or make a spreadsheet is not exactly high end, but you've been brainwashed to think it's important. As AI takes over you'll see that it was all bs

Well you won't learn much working at Cisco. Indeed, your brain and skills will rot. So yeah, you have to keep learning on the side if you hope to ever get another job.

The most important thing most Cisco employees will ever learn is resume management. They've allowed a D-list name to dominate their resume, so the skills they will need for their next role will include how to properly fill a mop bucket, how to correctly clean a toilet, etc etc

Learning? Your best bet is to participate in the backyard party of your Indian bosses on weekends. The hiring and promotions are all discussed and determined there.

Too weird sounds preaching something

Good ones already left long ago, they knew exactly what to do

Nasty ones still at Cisco are waiting for chuckie to dump more KaK-as to them, they preach more p-o-ps from chuckie are better for them

What you’re seeing at Cisco are all commodities no inventions
