@d6 you are right.
Besides, I would like to add the people are planning the jobs, really not competents. The old managers laid off the best people and keep the useless cause they are friends. I know a couple of them. And that's the results.

dbs will be closed before they move it to NB
@d6
drill bits are a commodity now, there's nothing left to do R&D on. baker has the high end, and ulterra the low, both massively out sell dbs because the reality is halliburton doesn't make money making tools it's just a cost center for convenience.

i think the inflection point is long behind us when they decided to get rid of dbs. if anything i'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has.
I heard they want to close dbs cause very low revenue. Old tools, no more researchs, using what they have and not what they need on the job. Plus, no really competent people on the jobs, including planning the services. Using consultants, without competency, created only disasters.
I don’t think so, they dont have enough room for it. At least not all of it. I could see them however taking only service center since it has a much smaller footprint finally shutting down fc and matrix and finally giving that over fully to Saudi.
I’m sure something like that is in the works in the background but it’ll take some more time while this tariff stuff is figured out.
