Always be applying. Keep the resume fresh and the interview skills sharp. Companies have no loyalty to you, so no point in having loyalty to them. If something better comes along, jump. If a layoff happens, you're already in some pipelines for something else.
This is the best time for companies to reduce low-performing, expensive headcount and blame it on the economy while bringing in hard-to-find talent at a discount with no competition.
Prepare as if it’s in January; I’m a pleb, so have no idea, but I’m prepping now; so if it hits, you’ll have a head start. If it doesn’t hit, the you sharpen ur resume and job search skills for later
