The Leprechaun Already has plans to cut costs and buildings for workers.
He doesn't care if you're saving the company money, it's the cut cut cut and embellish the stocks so he can retire in ole Canada. What makes it worse he has the management so scared that they cut OT and still they don't get their bonuses. They cut costs and delay work and still don't get their bonuses. Shops are not being reused by other workers that could utilize them, they are being scraped and management given no option to stay at the company if you don't have seniority on the craft. So good luck to anyone that thought that the railroad was a long term career. But when he is done he will only grin like an ape and put his hands in his pocket and say," everyone has an option to stay in this company, if you move!"

It will be both UP and NS shops and he’ll bulldoze them right away because he’s a scorched earth type of leader. There’s no reason to reopen a shop after a mistake if it’s been leveled. He doesn’t have to eat crow and admit a mistake then. He’s just like a wrecking ball to the companies he runs, leaving a trail of destruction. Having a rummage sale and making money isn’t a profitable business if the items you’re selling for dimes cost you dollars. JV and the investors don’t understand this or they simply don’t care. They just want there money now and then they’ll dump the stock and move on, leaving the business to fail for the su-kers who buy them out when they decide to move on. They’re just leaches.

No one is questioning that. We're all just trying to gauge how bad he'll sc--w it up and that's all. This merger is all about Vena trying to make himself look good before he leaves the industry permanently. I hope he gets the boot before the merger happens! It's a well-deserved parting gift for him. I'll even supply the boot for free!

Who cares, JV will sc--w it up anyways, it's all about the shareholders anyways.

My guess would be quite a few. If by some really strange reason he manages to still be in charge at the UP if the merger takes place, then it's guaranteed he'll be closing down some of the NS shops. Vena only knows how to close down shops and lay people off. Not surprising considering that all his buddy Harrison knew how to do as well. Neither one of them knew how to actually run a railroad. The UP has been consistently doing the worst, and Vena has done nothing about it except paint a pretty little picture to the investors about how good the company is. Vena is going to have a difficult time with this merger for sure. I see him being forced out either shortly before the merger, or right after to allow management teams from both companies to come together and form one team. The NS already had their fill of PSR with some of the PSR executives from the UP going to the NS, and many who are no longer there. The NS was already in the news for it's readiness to get away from PSR. Let's face it, Vena isn't a very popular person within the rail industry. The NS and the UP will both set a list of demands for each other, then they'll compromise on said demands. If they can't come to an agreement, then Vena will be gone. He'll lie his a$$ off to the NS side to make the merger happen, most likely get caught lying to them and the deal will be off. Vena can't afford to be Vena for this merger. He's going to lose a substantial amount of money when he sc--ws up the deal.
