Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Wins for Intel and for NVIDIA in this deal. Losses for AMD and Qualcomm

i think both parties will be made stronger for this. Intel needed this. Nvidia is advantaged with this, but was succeeding without.

Expect more announcements like this, as each of the mega cap tech companies buy out Intel, 5% at a time.

The company is going private, and they are the new owners.

Well, this is a marriage between a monolothic designed CPU company with another monolithic designed GPU company. Result? A monolithic designed APU with a humongous power drain!

OP that is one way to look at it. Another is that Nvidia just voluntarily got cancer.

Wait till LBT starts announcing the sale of the older fabs.

This prepares IFS for eventually being spun off into an independent company, which is needed to gain mega cap tech deals.

The spin off would be for the EUV fabs and TD, so the other fabs will be sold to other foundries.

NVDA, Softbank and the Govt now own 20%, and the other tech companies seem likely to each pick up 5%, with some more Private Equity firms joining in as well. They are buying the stock of the whole company so will become owners of the spin off without selling IFS to them directly.

You ain't seen nothing yet.
