Re-read. The person isn’t saying SVPs are going to be laid off. They’re clearly saying that an SVP was the source of the information that layoffs were continuing into the next week.

I will believe SVP layoffs when I see it. Maybe one or two to save face....taking the fall as they say with a huge payoff
It was announced by an SVP that layoffs would continue into next week at the HQs.
Through end of week and then ongoing through February
There are continuing layoffs through Friday.
