After so many years of loyalty, investing huge efforts in this company, I am now laid off. I regret that I often put my work before my personal life and family.
They don't care in the least whether you might lose your home, whether your children will be able to continue their education... No compassion at all.

Quiet quitting is best policy. Prepare for new skills and spend more time with your family.
Waste of time putting anything extra knowing they will cut you. Do not kt anything
Fact - A proper external audit would expose the reality of versus the perception of PepsiCo.
I was affected by a PEP layoff years ago. I was 50+ which we all know is fatal. We all learned the hard way to make work life balance a true priority. There is life after PEP although it was one of the best and worst places I've ever worked. Take some time to clear your head and then go out and make things happen as you have been doing for years. Don't try to apply for other PEP positions. They will tell you that you can but will block your resume from the hiring manager. An attorney will not be able to help you so move on. Ask me how I know.
After 16 years of service to the company, my entire team was let go. This was back in 2019, so my heart goes out to all impacted. There are jobs and life outside of the PepsiCo world. I moved on, the one thing they lost was a loyal consumer and advocate for their products.
Pepsi has been trying to teach us not to care so much since 2010.
All these big companies made a stink about employees "quiet quitting" aka knowing our worth, cherishing work life balance, and not being married to the job. The "quiet quitters" aren't the ones being laid off. It's a shift in worker thinking and eventually they will pay the piper.
