Does anyone know what teams/departments have been the most impacted? Especially in PBNA. I’ve heard a lot of IT teams are being let go and outsourced-is this true? And do you think more will be impacted

Meanwhile Strategy and Transformation is building an army of thousands of people….many at LG1-5 levels…who know almost nothing about what we do or how we operate. They’re pi----g away millions on projects that will never materialize and haven’t yet made the divisions pay for it. Part of a longer term centralization of functions so they can eventually offshore to India.
Enjoy the fatted calf while the getting is good because eventually the music will stop and that group will get slaughtered.
Here in Plano, my whole IT team of Pepsico employees was eliminated today. My boss and others had over 23 years of service.
Foodservice marketing , divisions and brand marketing were slaughtered.
Division teams impacted. Sales and Marketing. Headcount reduction. Consolidation across all of PBNA.
The gradual offshoring of IT has been happening since 2014 when they rebadged fully half of PBC IT to contractors. There have been many layoffs in IT since then, every year about, big or small. 'Hundreds' is not a large number for Pepsi considering one year they let go 10,000 in the blink of an eye. The hubs were announced in what, 2019? It's a long process and depends on the funding of what org you support.
Entire IT departments are being told their jobs are being relocated. Nothing more than that. No compassion, no nothing. It’s sad that it seems like every year 100s of people get displaced and kicked to the curb.
