Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Are we so bad we need to rely on NVIDIA

Everywhere at GSX and all of the LinkedIn posts by our fearless leaders is tagged with NVIDIA. How shameful it is that we cannot play on our own strengths. The likes of NVIDIA does not even talk about us in their footnote! Embarrassing

I don't see how it's a bad thing to partner with NVIDIA. Any enterprise vendor with a brain is partnering up with NVIDIA. Cisco's strength is in the enterprise network. Nvidia has largely been successful with cloud providers. They are trying to pivot to enterprise now

NVDA has infiniband and other technologies used in data enter switches and backbone that compete with Cisco and Arista.

Cisco must partner with NVIDIA or else they will lose the market to some other company.

Don’t worry Caught Robbin has some backlog and orders still on hold due to Covid. The backlog is surging due to Cisco’s cross platform synergies and strong go to market offerings. Cisco’s AI strategy is a market leader due to strong innovation and demand. Cisco billed and propered 12m in net new backlog yielding a strong outlook for subsequent quarters. We consistently drive and lead innovation from the cocka to the data center. Now to the bad news, myself (Caught Robbin) and the rest of the ELT team, despite the strong backlog and partner synergies are restructuring some 25k roles to growth areas to seed strategic allocation of our workforce.. our strong backlog, AI innovation and unique partner insights and relationships will aid our transition to higher growth areas ensuring we are a leader in our go to market plan for FY26.

Thank you,
Yours Truly —Caught Robbin

Oh look, Cisco’s execs are parading a “partnership” with NVIDIA; because nothing says market relevance like clinging to the coattails of the company actually driving the future.

If there were any real, must-have synergy here, NVIDIA wouldn’t waste time holding Cisco’s hand, they’d just buy them and be done with it.

In ten years, can anyone picture an NVIDIA product containing a single scrap of Cisco software or hardware?

Nvidia should just buy Cisco and get rid of the fat.

Cisco is just another vendor to Nvidia.
Arista, HPE, Dell, etc all are eating Cisco's lunch and...

NVIDIA does not care about Cisco
