the problem is edward jones is not just a "company," its a partnership. they had a cautious and conservative way of doing things that the penny regime has discarded in favor of wall street style fu-kery.
Companies don’t exist to guarantee lifetime employment; they exist to stay competitive, profitable, and sustainable. Markets shift, priorities change, and efficiency becomes critical. But assuming that past success guarantees future security ignores how dynamic and demanding business environments are.
