Now that it’s clear leadership has no loyalty to associates, I think leadership is about to find out associates no longer have loyalty to Edward Jones. Talent stayed out of loyalty. We aren’t the most exciting company, not cutting edge, and not offering great pay. A dinosaur trying to stay relevant in a digital first world… It was loyalty and culture that kept people at Edward Jones. I won’t be surprised when top talent leaves over the next couple years after the VSPs and ISPs settle. This isn’t over. PP broke the trust. We are all just overhead and numbers.

2 years ago I was offered $160,000 base salary at another firm for the same role, which is still $30,000 higher than my base today. But I rejected that opportunity because I believed in this company, and I believed in the partnership culture. This year I realized all that I believed in was gone. I should have taken that offer 2 years ago.
Anyone that has loyalty to a company is a fool. Only do what is best for you and your family.
@a2 Good plan. I left on my own terms late spring because I had no faith in the leadership or trajectory of the firm.
It’s empowering once you understand you hold more cards than you initially realized. Best of luck to you in your search!

I was lucky enough to keep my job for now but I will be looking for my next opportunity to leave on my own terms. There is no reason to stay when you don’t believe in leadership.
@OP well said. Let the floodgates open! They don’t deserve the talent that they choose to keep.
