@a3 I think the idea of a notice was a good thing and most people appreciate a heads up vs. not.

What people DID NOT appreciate was it getting dragged out 5-6 months. They could and should have been faster and had more of Cascade 1 figured out, too, before this. If we had to wait 1-2 months to hear our fates, that would have been a lot better for most (health, anxiety, etc.).

And had you been given no notice, you would have complained that they didn’t even warn you so you could prepare.

There is no easy way to do layoffs. Everyone affected is going to be unhappy regardless of the method chosen. That’s why most just rip the bandaid off.

@OP what's then other option? Allowing you to find out when you try to login and nothing works? Calling people when they're on vacation?
