I don’t see any reason why someone couldn’t write any of those things here. If someone can inform his friends via FB or Twitter about being laid off, he can inform us as well. Posting a roll that you’ve obtained before you were laid off is not a trade secret, that’s something you put in a CV.
But just in case I’m wrong and @hjq is right, one can always be vague enough by skipping info about department/division if that department is small.
So far, 2 Sr. Directors, 2 managers, and quite a few project managers from the barrington office that didn't move
Do you even work for the company? You're asking for too much information. Are you writer for a newspaper?
Coke Man, the post asked for what role they were in. I wouldn't expect them to put their name, rank and serial number, but I wouldn't put my role in there either. Depending on the size of their department, it might be very easy to determine who. With an NDA and a severance on the line I'd be a church mouse.
in response to the NDA comment... I'm pretty sure posts are anonymous on here 🤷♂️
R&D impacted. Some survived Round One of Barrington only to get hit this time.
There's an NDA that they probably haven't read through fully yet. There's no one that's going to write out any details and risk losing their severance. You're only going to know from texts from personal cell phones and direct conversations.
