3 health systems opting for Epic EHRs

These 3 all have something in common - leaving Altera for Epic

Below are three health systems that launched a new Epic EHR system or announced plans to do so since Nov. 9.

Sonoma (Calif.) Valley Hospital went live with a new Epic EHR Dec. 3. The 51-bed hospital, which is affiliated with San Francisco-based UCSF Health, had previously used Allscripts as its EHR vendor.

Lewisburg, Pa.-based Evangelical Community Hospital changed its EHR to Epic and went live with the new system Dec. 4. The hospital had previously used disparate systems with Allscripts being the main vendor.

Mackinac Straits Health System and MidMichigan Health signed an agreement to share an Epic EHR system. Under the agreement, Midland-based MidMichigan will share its Epic EHR system with St. Ignace, Mich.-based Mackinac Straits.
