I checked the external Edward Jones site for careers and there are only 11 jobs posted for headquarters. So much for finding another position. I’m not in the office right now, but a coworker said there were no headquarter jobs listed on the internal site.

@ab haha I can't wait for my new opportunity to train my indian replacement (again) while pretending to still have that "hungry humble hustle swag" that clown pennington wants us to have...fun fact, Chubak (who will take over after PP leaves) coined the humble hustle phrase. New York wall street culture is here to stay boys and girls.
Jobs were frozen until final decisions were made about roles and teams. Otherwise, there might have been hires made for roles that were being eliminated. Job postings will return in September.
My department gave a pep talk at the beginning of all this about how change can create opportunities...it's so frustrating that internal movement has been restricted. I feel like I took the wrong advice and trusted the wrong leaders.
@OP they froze all the open positions and will reopen them for hunger games when Cascade 2 is in place
Working as intended. ER is about cutting cost and replacing us with offshore workers (and coming soon, an influx of h1b workers).
