At Ford, once you hit a certain pay level you are marked for exit no matter how well you perform. People meet targets and still get shown the door because cost cutting matters more than keeping talent.

It is about clowns in power. They need millions , constant flow at any costs. We are a pair of gloves - disposable and replaceable at the costs of others to continue the show for investors.
@OP I concur, as a CE1 insider only Apple Cobblers get promotion and level bumps, some have little experience and go from LL4 to LL3 in a year or LL5 or LL6 who get multiple direct reports to aid their climb up the ladder.

Correct. If you are a high performer and keep getting merit raises and are at the top of your pay grade, you either need to get promoted, leave the company, or get laid off.
