WTH. It's interesting to see Ford, a century-old company, now mimicking Tesla’s disruptive strategies. It raises questions, are legacy automakers innovating, or just playing catch up?

They could be but unfortunately the wrong people are in the c-suite of this pathetic shell of a company
Elon Musk is laughing his a-s off at Ford's latest innovation, actually relocation of Tesla assembly process from 8 years ago.
Tesla has moved on and developed a newer and better vehicle assembly process. Ford is 5 years behind Tesla, but that's OK.
Hey Ford Universal EV production system.....the USB called, it wants its symbol back.
Please get rid of Billy and Jimmy!!! Please!!!
Also, DF!!!
Tesla stock up almost 3% on Ford’s announcement, Ford stock declined.
@am well, a US Steel plant in Pittsburgh blew up today…
will be interesting when the boys from USSteel get involved and show us how to make those subframes cheaper w/ stamped steel than expensive cast aluminum. the steel boys always have surprises for us. even elon built his startship rocket with a stainless steel hull.
There is no innovation from the Ford team. Copycats.
What year do you live in? The answer to this “question” has been known for years.
“Legacy“ auto makers have been talking about electrification, software quality and automation for years now. Obviously large companies that have been focused on ICE vehicles have greater challenges than smaller companies that have been pure electric and focused on software from the start.
