Somehow I’ve made it through eight rounds of layoffs over the years since I joined Ford, but this time feels different. I can’t explain it, just a gut feeling that my luck might be finally running out. I'm trying to stay prepared but I won't lie, it’s getting harder to stay calm.

Stress will eat you from inside. Stop thinking about it. You survived 8, you’ll survive 8 more.
If it happens get your unemployment and move on who cares
You stuck around to see 8 rounds of layoffs and you didnt think it appropriate to move on? Sounds to me like you have a seperate issue here. What are you, helpless? You see the train coming, stand in front of it with your hand up and scream yet do not move. You get what you get. Simp.
I'm with you brother. With all of my family/parent responsibilities I too find it hard to stay calm. This su-ks Big Time.
Accept it and enjoy it.
Look forward to new jobs working for companies that are failing like ford
@af dawg elaborate. wtf did u do?
It's better be quite. I was too vocal and confident that I never get laid off (too important and technical) but I actually got canned by telling my LL4 how to fix their incompetence indirectly. They realized that I was right and went after me, so they stay innocent as usual. It was a total clown show. I am happy that I am gone. They will feel the pain to replace me.
Keep calm and carry on
