Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

“It’s a crazy market,” he said. “I don’t know what to do right now.”

Not a good place and time to be looking for a new job. Job market is bad, yet unemployment is still at 4.1% and holding.

After having worked at cisco for years, I left & have increased my TC 140% this year lol

Yall are just not useful in a modern company. Keep hiring h1s at dinosaur cisco & send money to your scamming cousins til the music stops. Tank you, saars.

Accenture is one white guy who fronts two hundred offshore mouth breathers doing data entry work for government contracts.

The guy featured in that article has no real tangible skills beyond showing up for conference calls on time and deleting email.

The job market may indeed su-k but no-skill, no-value cogs like this guy are not the evidence. Just look at his "job search" - he literally cannot get a job at Chipotle but refuses to so any real retraining or re-calibration of expectations, he just keeps applying for mindless cog jobs he will never get once people see "Accenture" on his resume.

All these do-nothing, know-nothing, no-skill people out there who do nothing but sit quietly in zoom meetings all day with their camera off...did they think this would last forever?

Don't worry, Cisco has been largely recovered from the down turn, now it is in the best situation over a few years. It is highly unlikely to significantly reduce headcount as last year.
