Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Retirement question

Does anyone know how much notice Macys requires when you are planning to retire? I am a long time part timer, no health benefits to worry about, just hopefully keeping the discount. I am a very unimportant person - if I left to tomorrow they wouldn’t care! Always try to do the right thing. Was thinking 2 weeks, like a resignation. Thanks.

A two weeks notice is sufficient regardless of your role. I was a CXM and gave two weeks notice when I retired on 12/30/25. Some people felt I should have given more notice as an “executive” in the building. As they say, everyone is replaceable. Because of all the cuts, my position didn’t get replaced. They added the workload to the MBA’s position.
