Seriously - it seems like EM does not trust, value or care about their employees. They try to nickel and dime them on every single item, lower benefits to where it is no longer a benefit and sc--ws up a performance assessment process that drives fear versus performance.

Shell an BP.
Before the new CFO, EM had a commitment to invest and had nearly 9000 employees on campus ready to grow our business. After new CFO, commitment was changed to Hotdesking, PIPs, abandoning owned buildings on campus, and moving jobs to India. Now selling off businesses and turning over operatorship to partners to become only an investment company with minimal employees involved, mostly from India.
Downhill as fast as possible.
@a8 as a Brit who has visited the campus a couple of times, this post is hilarious
XOM always su-ked but the pay was good and job was stable.
Now the raises are gone and the job's no longer stable.
Now it just su-ks
The disconnect that happens from the execs to LT must be no news is good news. That’s a failure. The. LT downward turns into an adult junior high of juvenile nepotism and emotions for the people in charge. If your not a favorite they will not move on a good idea or allow your time benefit other parts of the team if your willing. I know that’s everywhere I guess but that’s another failure. Folks just don’t want their easy money messed with. It has to be wrapped up in a nice zoom/power point for the chosen. CX knows this all to well. Really all of IT.
All companies are getting cr-ppy. I don't think there is one decent one left. I have started my own business doing what I love. Work for yourself doing what you like without the problems at exxon. I love the freedom to buy from anyone with out the bureaucracy and hoops at exxon. I don't make a lot of money but the business is profitable and fun to run. It keeps me busy and gives me something to do in retirement.
@OP Why do you still work there? If it’s for any reason other than needing the money you should move on.
Subsidize lunch will really go a long way. Campus is so expensive and the food su-ks
They care about employees in the way a fox cares about the chickens in the h-nhouse
