Our mgr just scheduled a skip level meeting on 08/14... What's going on?

Actually my mgr pinged me on WT @2pm day after earnings-- total ambush. I figured it out fast but was in shock for a few days. In retrospect if u go total incommunicado you may be able to extend your 60-day notice period for a few days for what that's worth. I'll skip the whiny why-me details, but my advice is look hard at the benefits options you have for those 60 days, you're still a fully eligible employee and there's quite a bit more there than you likely realize in terms of options to extend your employment and income.
I have had my names for a week. Ain’t gonna lie this next week will su-k for them and me
Cisco middle managers are the worst I’ve worked with. Only one was technical and could discuss the team’s work. The rest were glorified admin assistants who could also fire you.
2 guys from my team will wacked. no choice, I was asked to sacrifice 2 or director will add 2 more and make it 4. I couldn't decide who to chop, so I used "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" technique.
what's going on is that you have a skip level mtg. what do I win?
That meeting is the distraction, the attempt to assure you that nothing is wrong. Mgr will probably cancel it the day before or postpone it.
Nothing is going on. If you were being LR's it wouldn't be scheduled until overnight the day of the LR. And since its a skip-level it would be scheduled with like maybe an hours notice.
