About six months ago I left my job at EJ after nearly 20 years and honestly it changed my life. The constant stress and toxicity were ki-ling me, to the point where my blood pressure was through the roof. Almost a year later, I’m off meds and feeling better than ever. If you’re thinking about it, don’t wait too long. Some jobs just drain the life out of you.

@b8 hey kid, this attitude is limiting and will get you discounted from opportunities. I see the ambition and the energy, try to use it to build your network and community instead of tearing people down.
@b8 You know what level the associate was? No, no you don't. They could have been a TL who was tired of all the red tape, a department leader sick of incompenent directors making horrible decision, or a BSA sick of working 50hrs a week to make a junk system work, only to get "meets plus". It's j*ckoffs like you and your mindset that will continue destroying this company.
To MOVEON You are a mo--n. Thankyou for the laugh and fyi… you have no idea ic original post is from a “low level associate” ) your words or, for example, a senior director. And it doesn’t matter anyway !!!!! The point is this person listened to their own instincts and needs and got out Good for them with the self care
@b8 lol mocking someone with 20+ years of experience and you're excited about LIMITED partnership. I needed to see this before going to bed, I needed a good laugh.
On medication over a low-level job lol. No wonder you were on the chopping block.
Can’t wait for the fat LP we get once all the people who tried to make careers out of entry-level jobs are shown the door.
@OP, you're 100% correct. Not only listen to your body, watch the mental health. NO ONE is promised tomorrow.
Congratulations on your health and well being!
If you are an associate at EJ who is doing business critical work and who actually cares about providing adequate service to our clients who are paying the firm handsomely and trusting it with their life savings, it is a tough spot to be mentally and physically lately. One would think the individuals who have the most of their net worth tied up in the firm's success would be concerned about the very real risk that a large business operational failure or regulatory incident is a huge loss to the firm's reputation and financial position. They believe they have insulated themselves from that level of detail and Running the Business work, but in many ways they are the most exposed to the repercussions of a failure. To all friends in the front lines, secure your own mask before assisting others.
