Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

New medical accommodation form is longer.

There’s way more questions now on this updated form than the one from 2023. Does anybody know who reads these forms? I feel weird knowing someone else who doesn’t know what we go through gets to decide if the condition sounds bad enough or not.

@bd Worked for me and dozens of others. Haven't gone in for years. No exceptions. Only discussion was generic to the team that not coming in might be an HR issue. Hasn't yet.

Hysterical how some need to make fun of those smarter coworkers who understand a pointless commute doesn't make the company better and costs thousands of dollars a year. Explains why we need jira and sendwords.

When did the new forms become available?

Maybe they will allow Snuggies in office on Fridays when fall arrives. It will be like WFH!

So many have just not gone in. Seems like the best plan.

Yeah, the new form definitely feels more invasive and you can tell they had a labor law firm draft it for them. It is another strategy to get more butts in seats. I know several people who had accommodations with WFH, but decided to not renew because of the questions in the form.

I know they were considering having it reviewed by a third party (Sedgwick) and I think that HR only coordinates the review and gives a general request to your boss.

It's some wonks in HR. They sent me one when I asked if I could work remotely temporarily due to a broken bone that prevented me from driving. I refused to have a doctor fill it out since I sent them all the information that anyone with a brain cell could comprehend meant I couldn't drive. They also wanted more information than they needed which I'm not giving to a self insured employer.
