Thoughts on a Merger? Highmark specifically.

@OP connect the dots, interim CEO with no active search for a new one. BP leaves to GuideWell who’s already acquired other BCBS entities, we are next.

@fm That may get interesting in regards to Florida Blue. Florida Governor D may get involved with the GOP as they are targeting some of those Blue cities / Companies. However it could be a way to exit DEI on the MD side. BDP vs Governor D... we
ll see.

Merger with Florida Blue. BDP will be CEO over both and will name Presidents of each; hence no interim CEO named. Good talent is walking g out the door, leadership does not care because they are not talented enough to see it for what it is worth. Untalented leaders keeping untalented yes men employees who they can control.

This is not my first rodeo. As for the sale, it makes sense that the current CEO leaves and is replaced by the current CFO. He will finish off the sale. There was no mention of searching for a new CEO in the announcement. There is nothing the average difference maker can do but hold on or get out. With the events of the past few months, the most talented will move on and they will be left with the mediocre and low performers. Good luck - I’m out.
