I know people mean well, but "at least you have a job" dismisses how dehumanizing it is to survive in a broken system. And that's what Chevron has been for the last few years, broken. Understaffed, overworked, and constantly anxious isn’t "security." It’s exhaustion with benefits.

You've been warned. If you really were that close to being laid off, proactively start looking for another job.
I made a list of all of the people who replied all.
You are lucky to have a job
A lot of boot li ckers on this thread. Take the scraps and love it! Guess you all are in love with DJT and MW!
Worthy of one of those massive “reply all” events…
Well, at least you have a job. Stop whining.
You could maybe quit this dehumanizing condition that you’re in… but I guess you’re paid too well and just want to b1tch all day. So, no?
At least you have a job
A job you have; at least
At least you work for a big oil company and aren’t making minimum wage.
Stop saying at least you have food. This veal is inadequate and the presentation feels diminished!
At least you have a job.
The backstabbing has also started. Nobody wants to be helpful or “team” when you will be ranked against everyone constantly in the ever continuing layoff cycle.
I’m so sick of hearing “congratulations you were able to successfully keep your job”. “ We are just lucky to have a job”
People work better when they “feel” confident. The culture now feels like they want us to feel like scavenger peasants. I’m not sure scavenger peasants work more effectively or efficiently compared to cocky and confident professionals. Guess we will see.
