Thread regarding 3M layoffs

What’s going on in CBG?

Every leader people like is being pushed out. We are now left with an extremely toxic management team who wouldn’t hesitate to throw their people under the bus. The culture used to be a huge strength. It’s depressing to work here now.

@d0 There's no more middle management at 3M

We have JG9 analysts reporting to JG17 directors. There are no ranks in between, anymore.

Big re-org in TEBG with “verticals” that no one knows how they work or how they are efficient. Not even leadership because they sure as heck can’t explain it. It was a re-org done based on a buzzword and nothing more.

And now we get a “call to action” because our execution hasn’t been good enough. Once again it’s the fault of us peons. Not the top heavy useless managers.

Which is it? Every leader is being pushed out or they are bloating it with middle management?

It’s a mess! We spend more time changing names and filling out templates for non value adds. This is not a consumer company. At this point prefer to be sold to a company that wants our brands and interested in growing.

They are bloating CBG with middle management. Now they are adding two more managers to do who knows what. They will come up with new buzz words for it all. Never mind the ridiculous mandate by BB for 1000 NPI's in three years.

Oh, but we won't add headcount to do all things they want to do or spend the money to do experiments. Good luck with launching new NPI's, when most take 2-4 years to develop. We have a bloated Marketing group who don't know how to market anything.

Part of BB grand plan to force people out and sell off the business.
