Who is The Joke Really on?

Face it, you get your check (so far) and what "benefits" they still allow. What's the problem? Having dealt with IBM, GE, and Honeywell over the years, some of these 3M folks are clueless. Pensions were gone from those places 30 years ago. The worst health care plans anywhere (i.e. your spouse MUST get a physical to be on the plan, existing conditions (cancer, etc) -huge premiums, plan on going to the free clinic to have that baby, also huge deductibles, no HSA) had been instituted by these companies 20 years ago. Any employee recognition-retirement/anniversary parties, awards for doing a good job, team building outings-gone 20 years ago. 3M is late to the party on a lot of these things. So, if you rode the wave here for 10, 20 or thirty years, you did alright. If you are a younger frustrated employee, get used to it. This is life. Things will change. Some for better some for worse. The Big Question you all have to ask yourself is: are you sticking it to The Man? Wherever you end up in these Fortune 500 clubs, you will need to stick it to The Man before he sticks it to you.
