Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Will Wael ever stop his share buy backs.

I guess he only cares about his bonus and short term gains - destroying the companies long term future doesn’t matter.

Even some commentators are questioning the logic of lazily ploughing on with this now.

I guess he thinks he can fire more people to keep the useless buy back going.

not just Shell stock, but also Nvdia etc., No growth at Shell! buy other growth stocks!!

if you buy up enough float, you disguise the shrinkage of your market cap as well as put a bottom floor on your stock price

i’m talking 30% + of the float, which may be where we are at with no signs of stopping

investors don’t see oil and gas as valuable because the industry is shrinking. they are right. plan and simple. juicing earnings per share and dividends won’t work long term
