Pathetic and shocking action by the "Human energy company". Folks expected 20-30% lay off, not a 75% cleansing after all those talks of "best for both companies". I hope they change their slogan.

Does the 575 number include people who were offered transitional positions until a specific date? Or, are these people with transitional positions part of the remaining 225 people.

@cy I think when Elliott came in and gutted R&M which was what his dad Leon built the company on, he checked out on the whole family legacy and began planning his exit

Former Hess employee here. While my current employer isn't hiring many now, I'm keeping my former colleagues in my thoughts and referring when I can. Reach out to your network everyone and good luck!

I started my career at Hess back when it was AHC. A company that was loyal to employees then and JBH, while he made some bad decisions IMO, seemed to try and do the right thing from my perspective. Sad to see he appears to not only have walked away from his legacy, but ran.

Sounds like every last person once transitional roles are timed out.

@c1 see Ellis v. DHL Express, Inc. USA AG

Affirmed that volunteers don’t count in job loss numbers

@bv how do you assume it doesn’t include those who EOI’d?

@bv do we know that for certain? I was holding out hope there was a possibility transitional roles were included in that 575 number.

@bs Nor the folks who EOI’d. Only those who are involuntarily severed as of 9/26.

Doesn't include the interim teams either so number will be higher.

That HR lady and Kevin-whatshisname lied through their teeth at the town hall. That safety slide was a joke. CVX clearly doesn’t care and JBH should be ashamed of himself.

@aj we were all shocked at the severance package. They really didn’t push for us at all. Now to find out they knew most of us would be let go on top of that.

I hope our former Coward-In-Chief Mr. Burns cries himself to sleep on his bed of blue strips knowing his family legacy is being reduced to a toy.

To the 575- do only what you need to collect your severance and not a bit more!

Unbelievable. Stronger together? Human energy company? What a crock. Total gut job. Unfathomable mistreatment of a great American company and its loyal employees.
