I was laid off last Thursday. I received an email Wednesday afternoon for a conspicuous meeting with my manager the next day in a first floor meeting room (not his office). I was laid off the next day. If you get a meeting invite with the subject of “Business Update” then start to print, email yourself, and otherwise organize documents you will find helpful that you will not be able to retrieve from your TRP computer immediately after being fired. Performance appraisals, resume, head shots, your vacation balance, any examples of body of work you have completed, usernames and passwords for non TRP sites that you may have saved on a TRP device, etc. Prepare and organized yourself for the worst case… don’t panic.
