Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Quality

Was with family this weekend, many who I’ve given an x/a plan to over the years, even vouched and encouraged them to get a Ford.

Could not believe how many recalls they have each had and how hard (impossible) it is to even get parts to fix it. The damage being done to the brand is incredible…even if just in my little orbit. I can’t imagine I’m alone. It’s frustrating to see the spin by the executives here as they have no idea how this impacts actual people.

The days of recommending a Ford are over. Disappointing situation as vehicle sales pay my bills but can’t do that to the family anymore.

I have erased A and X plan from my memory until the quality improves for more than just one day.

They're not focused on quality. They are focused on making sure the herd swipes in and jumps on their conference calls.

When you're making Stellantis look good, there's a problem.

I am embarrassed to talk about Ford with my family and friends. They have no interest in buying a Ford at all.

My parents are in the market for a new vehicle. It didn’t even occur to me to recommend Ford as an option because it’s embarrassing how poor the reliability and quality is. I don’t want to have them fork over $40-50k for a new vehicle that I don’t have any confidence in. When the likely event happens where something goes wrong, I’d feel insanely guilty. So I just recommended they go with Toyota.

I have been recommending other brands for the last 4-5 years just based on their activity and announcments. The only ones still buying are the diehards that dont get it.

I used to look at Ford first, then the competition. Now its competition first, Ford last. Havent bought one in 5 years. The way quality, styling and model options go, probably wont ever again.

I suspect that the CCP selected, groomed and trained “agents” from early childhood to come to the U.S. as the “best and brightest”. They have two objectives. The first is obvious: Obtain as much intellectual property as possible and send it back.

The second is not so obvious; Sabotage. Slow things down. Stifle innovation. Cause problems then advocate for the wrong solutions.
