Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Earnings This Week... What's Going to be the "Story" for Wall Street?

Well, Intel is in full layoff mode (finally), and this Thursday will be announcing Q2'25 earnings, and prob 2H'25 high level guidance. From the outside looking in now, aside from the typical product roadmap, IFS spin off, and bean counter numbers (either a slight beat, or a massive miss... no point of having a slight miss, when you can pile in more bad news this time around and just take the whipping once)... the biggest story will likely be the layoffs. Both the size, and where it's going to impact... along with what happens next (or NEX, pun intended). We'll have Sweater Boy Judas providing the rah-rah's... and maybe some talk abou AI creating more efficiencies both internally, and with vendors (such as AI at Accenture taking over Marketing). The but I think the big positive news will be that Intel is ahead of his headcount targets, and it's a leaner, flatter org today (true or not, who really knows). So anyone else have any thoughts on what's going to be discussed on earnings day?

I see LBT and Sweater Boy Judas has frowny faces leading into the all hands. Guess we know what's coming now...

The Power-Forward will focus on lay-off progress. We may learn more about specific businesses being spun off or simply shutdown. The theme is the dismantling of a once iconic company due to imbred greed and incompetence of the CxO and Board teams. The bar is very low

Hoping for a little bit of a BS story that bumps the stock just a little ; then dumping … if it goes down , still dumping - what a waste of a company, such a shame

About time for some surprise announcements, like selling some fabs or entire fab sites.

Gonna be a while before the external customer announcements are a thing, so need to fill the time till then with asset sales.

I'm looking at you, F28.

I'm gonna drink every time LBT says "laser focused," then go get my stomach pumped before the alcohol poisoning kick in.

Super Dave walks on stage, says 'Everything Is Awesome', drops the mic then does the lego brick step off the stage, diving into the crowd.

I told you 2025 will make you wish for the good times of 2024, but you didn't believe me.

"Unexpected economic headwinds"...blah, blah, blah. "Diminishing market share"...yada, yada, yada. "Need to be more efficient."...etc, etc. Dave will put the blame on literally anyone & anything other than his own mistakes. LBT will say stuff about focusing on engineering.

Unless you're still a captive worker at Intel,
then nobody cares anymore as Intel is a dead money investment.
And no LBT seems clueless he has no vision..

This could be LBTs platform for communicating his plan/vision for Intel going forward. He has essentially been silent both internally and externally. Investors want some guidance on where he is going.
